Peak Urology was founded in 2023
Founded by Dr. Brian Blew, Peak Urology was created to meet the needs of the Ottawa area and expand options for our patients. We specialize in urology and are trained to manage a wide range of conditions affecting the kidneys, bladder, urethra, and male reproductive organs.

As new technologies continue to revolutionize the landscape of BPH (enlarged prostate) treatment, a growing number of patients are actively exploring alternatives to conventional options. Recognizing this evolving healthcare paradigm, Peak Urology was established with a commitment to meeting the changing needs of our community.
Our mission is to not only address the challenges posed by enlarged prostate conditions but to go beyond, providing solutions that redefine urological care. By embracing innovation and staying at the forefront of advancements, Peak Urology aims to expand the horizons of treatment options for patients in the Ottawa region, offering a spectrum of personalized, state-of-the-art approaches that prioritize both effectiveness and patient well-being.
Dr. Blew, MD, FRCSC
Dr Blew graduated from University of Toronto medical school in 1998 followed by urology residency at University of Ottawa. He was named a fellow of the Royal College physicians and surgeons of Canada in 2003 after a 5-year residency.
He subsequently completed a 2-year endurology society fellowship at Toronto’s St Michael’s hospital focusing on minimally invasive surgery, complex kidney stone surgery and renal transplant. He has supervised over 60 graduating urologists and fellows in their specialty training in the following decades.
His practice continues to focus on minimally invasive and robotic surgery of the prostate among his other interests.
